PWGA Team Championship
The
Pacific Women's Golf Association of
Northern California held it's annual
California Championship on September
11th and 12th at Hiddenbrooke Golf
Course in Vallejo (CA). After two
grueling days of team play, lasting
over six hours a day, the ladies
persevered and beat out more than 72
teams for a one stroke shy of first
place. Second place for all of
Northern California is outstanding.
Congratulations Marlene Branaugh,
Norma McCallum, Sally Konishi and
Donna Schweiger.
Indian
Creek ladies are going to the
Northern California PWGA Team
Championship! Norma McCallum,
Marlene Branaugh, Sally Konishi and
Donna Schweiger will be representing
Indian Creek. They placed 2nd with
the same score as the first place
team of 122 combined score. There
were 28 teams from all over the
Sacramento area. (Click picture to

Placing for Turkey Creek were Nancy
Bitner, Sondra Melling, Rita
Prichard and Mary Hicks with a score
of 126. They will also be in the
finals. Well done to our team.

Invitational Golf Tournament
What a great Invitational!
Everyone looked so Hawaiian and
had such a great time playing
golf. Our pro Ericka was
especially busy on the 9th hole
raising money for our Susan G.
Komen beneficiary. She had
$260.00 dollars when all was
said and done. Thank you Erika,
who by the way will be trying to
qualify for the LPGA Open this
coming May. We wish you the best
Erika.
Kudos go to Marlene Branaugh for
her terrific coordination of all
the events, with special thank
you to Sue Kort the Tournament
Chairperson and Nancy Bitner the
Social Chairperson. And last but
not least all of our hardworking
volunteers and Shirley Vicarri
and Shelia Tomasini for
organizing that terrific raffle.
